You really must be joking to talk about him batting 8th considering Zac "Pop-up Paul" Cozart and his atrociously terrible batting stats in 2nd, 7th, & 8th spots in Crusty Dustys lineups every time the Reds took the field, then Price it this past season too! So while you're pouring the "Blame Billy Beer" out now, and probably jumping ship, remember the REAL culprits behind his 1st season, shall we? Lets start with Steve Smith getting us thrown out the most in the MLB, followed by 1 of the worst LF hitting combos again, in MLB. Our highest paid player played about a 1/4 of the yr on 1 LEG(And was put on DL all season basically), BP had a broke thumb, Bruce then hurt his LEG & was crap all yr! So your 2,3,4, & 5 hitters all crapped out on us! I think Billy did a darn good job considering, little reckless on the bases, but he was wore down & pressing like the team, so I would leave him, and watchAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5132588.post-27663328325902235152014-10-29T16:31:53.411-04:002014-10-29T16:31:53.411-04:00While I appreciate your insane stats for a, let us...While I appreciate your insane stats for a, let us NOT forget, "The fastest kid(NOT MAN) in the entire major leagues!" Although, admittedly, it wasn't what Cincinnati needed this year. He was a rookie. He's cheap. With the Reds, Votto was hurt all year and Bruce didn't hit a lick so they had odds against them anyway. He has a lot of potential to help offensively but remember: he's a young rookie who plays great center field. He could be a future all star. Let him gain lots of experience. <br />Don't label him as a failure or bust because of a challenging rookie season when he was one of the most scrutinized players in the NL. I would say it was a decent year.Mileshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16041431161002451354noreply@blogger.com
