Eve...Great post, especially that first paragraph. <br /><br />Even if Oswalt is overestimating his own value (and I'm not saying he is), so what? The guy has earned the right (in fact, everyone has that right) to negotiate what he thinks he's worth. If he's not worth that, he probably doesn't get it, and he has to modify his expectations or "take his ball and go home," so to speak.<br /><br />I was so taken aback by the negative reaction from some of my fringe friends on Facebook when Cliff Lee spurned the Yankees. If he wants to pitch somewhere else, so be it. If he values different things than you and I value, so what? I almost wanted the Phillies to win the World Series this year because of that.
